As an articling student at SVR, Johny takes on a wide range of responsibilities including drafting pleadings and court orders for the Provincial Court and Court of Queen’s Bench. He assists with research on files and manages a number of his own bodily injury and property insurance claims. With all his work, Johny takes a holistic approach from the start and strives to find the best way to resolve a dispute in a cost effective manner. Johny also has a keen interest in sports law, employment law and immigration law matters.
An avid puzzle fan, Johny pursued a law degree after completing his undergrad in political science and economics. He chose to pursue a career in litigation after his torts class in his first year of law school and he is drawn to the wide variety of facts and issues that come with each file. He enjoys using his strong advocacy skills when representing clients in court, settlement conferences and mediations.
Outside of work, Johny enjoys running fast, skiing faster and golfing poorly – with the exception of July 29, 2016, when he had a hole-in-one on #4 at Carnmoney Golf Club.
