Scott Venturo LLP Supports the Pro Bono Law Initiative with the Provincial Court

We are proud to announce that, as of January 2015, Scott Venturo LLP has confirmed their commitment to be a participating law firm in Pro Bono Law Alberta’s Civil Claims Duty Counsel (CCDC) Initiative.

The CCDC Project was launched as a pilot project at the Calgary Courts Centre on October 4, 2011 and on January 24, 2012 at the Edmonton Law Courts. The goal of the project is to provide legal assistance to Albertans engaged in civil proceedings before the Provincial Court who would benefit from advice from legal counsel. The project assists people with resolving their civil claims, allows law students to learn from senior lawyers in a practical and real-life environment and provides a unique way for lawyers to volunteer. CCDC also eases the impact on the justice system as clients benefit from enhanced ability to navigate the Court process, advocacy in the Courtroom is improved, and litigants receive an independent and objective perspective before Court.
