Letter from Marsha Hudey

Hello Everyone,

I was very fortunate to be put in contact with the firm and gain the support from you all going into the Olympic Games in Sochi. 2014 was my first International racing season and first time making the Canadian long track Speed Skating Team. It was a life-changing season and a dream come true, to say the least. Since the Olympics I have continued to make strides in my skating career traveling to Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan, Germany and Holland gaining greater International racing experience.

I am currently training full-time here in Calgary on the Canadian National long track Sprint Team with my sights on the next Games, which will be held in Pyeong Chang, South Korea. We have 3 International skaters in our group this season, one member being 2x Olympic gold medalist Lee Sang Hwa of Korea. I would have never believed a year ago that she would be here and I would be training with her today. Watching her expertise and standard for excellence on a daily basis is inspiring. I am continually being challenged physically and mentally to push beyond my own boundaries. It is an incredible opportunity and I feel like a sponge trying to soak it up everyday, learning as much as I can. Our team has had a successful summer of training and I am ready for the 2015-2016 racing season to begin!

John contacted me this summer regarding the golf tournament; unfortunately I was unable to attend due to a training camp. However I am quite excited at the opportunity to have the support of Scott Venturo again this season! I don’t know a group of people that work as hard and has as much fun as all of you.

Hope you’re all having a great week, work hard!

Marsha
