Professional Background

As a litigator, Paul combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of the needs and motivations of Plaintiffs. Paul advises insurers on motor vehicle, property and construction loss claims. He also acts on commercial litigation and employment matters. Paul always strives to advocate effectively for his clients and to reach timely and suitable settlements through effective negotiation.

Naturally inquisitive and methodical, Paul dives into each file at the earliest opportunity and takes a proactive approach to ensure matters are continually progressing towards a resolution. He takes a team approach to all his files and works closely with his clients and colleagues to get the best possible result. His clients can count on him to provide regular updates and well-researched and accurate assessments of each claim.

Paul has always been motivated to solve problems and to understand how human behaviour impacts decisions and actions. Prior to law school, Paul pursued a degree in Psychology where he gained extensive research and analysis experience. In law school, Paul was the recipient of multiple Research Fellowships and spent his time working with three different Professors on various projects. 

Whether it is a court room or basketball court, Paul is accustomed to performing in high pressure situations. He grew up as a multi-sport athlete where the value of teamwork and commitment were instilled at an early age.  While excelling in academics, Paul also co-founded a fraternity at the University of British Columbia which worked with several charitable organizations and grass root foundations.
