Professional Background

Billy is an Associate practicing in the areas of civil litigation and corporate law. His litigation practice focusses on insurance defence including construction, product liability, professional negligence and bodily injury claims, as well as other commercial litigation matters. He also maintains a corporate practice assisting businesses with negotiating and structuring transactions and reorganizations.

Billy completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge before obtaining his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2021. Having been born and raised in Calgary, Billy returned to his home city to article at SVR and was called to the Bar of Alberta in 2022.

Billy’s practical and organized approach are invaluable when he is assessing each new file and planning out the best course of action for his clients both in the litigation and corporate aspects. His diverse education and experience helps him quickly understand complex matters in a variety of industries and claims.

When not at the office, Billy enjoys continuing his passion for sports. He can be found in the hockey rink or outdoors on the golf course and ball diamond.
