Professional Background

Rudy’s legal practice focuses on real estate law, condominium law and civil litigation. His real estate practice focuses on all elements of real estate transactions and extends into condominium disputes, where Rudy advises unit owners, condominium corporations, and property managers on bylaw enforcement, repair and maintenance responsibilities, governance issues, and other condo-related matters. Rudy’s litigation practice focusses on insurance defence centered on bodily injury claims and aiding clients in resolving various contractual disputes. In addition, he assists real estate clients with any unexpected issue that may arise, before or after taking possession, including disputes involving undisclosed defects, failed or delayed closings, construction deficiencies and property or boundary issues.

Rudy completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary, obtaining a B.A. in History in Political Science. And earned his law degree at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom in 2016. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019 and joined Scott Venturo Rudakoff LLP in early 2026.

Whatever the issue, clients value his ability to make complex legal matters clear and accessible. Known for his practical, solutions-oriented approach, Rudy takes the time to explain options and guide clients confidently through both routine matters and high-stakes disputes.

Outside the office, Rudy is highly active and brings the discipline of a high-performance athlete to his practice. A former competitive tennis player, he remains involved in the sport through sitting on various volunteer committees and boards as well as coaching and mentoring. He stays active through a range of activities besides tennis, including hockey, golf, and skiing.
